Most of us slog at work throughout the week. But, as the weekend approaches, it is time to unwind and rejuvenate. And what better way to chill out or de-stress than enjoying with your friends at a pub or a nightclub? After all, if you work hard, you certainly deserve to party hard!


Barriers to Enjoyment

Sometimes in life, there comes a time when the heart desires to do something, but the body gives away. Enjoying late night parties falls in this realm for many of us. Hanging out with friends is conceptually desirable. However, practically it could be a problem to sustain your energy levels after a long, tiring day at work.  There could be others who are inherently morning people. You absolutely love the company and place. You so desire to be a party animal, but unfortunately the timings do not gel with your body clock!  Yet another issue that could come in the way of your late night enjoyment is age. When in 20s, late nights are greeted with a smile. However, as one crosses the threshold of 40, keeping awake could require some effort and proactive tools.  Whatever may be your reason, let us unfold techniques to enjoy late night partying and live life to the fullest.


Catch Up on Some Sleep

If your body is relaxed prior to the outing, you will be better equipped to stay awake for longer hours. See how best you can squeeze a short power nap before getting ready for the night. If possible, plan in advance and get a proper night’s sleep the previous night. An essentially well rested body does not find it hard to cope well with one late night.


Restrict Your Alcohol Intake

Drinking is indeed a significant part of making merry. Unless you want to get sloshed soon, remember to drink wisely. Alcohol could soothe your senses and relax your mind when consumed in limits. However, if it goes beyond a certain level, it could have a contrary effect and act as a tranquillizer too! If the objective is to just relieve stress or anxiety, then opt for light drinks and learn the trick to hold on to your glass for long.


Explore the Stimulation of Caffeine:

Remember those examination days when you opted for coffee to ward off sleep? Apply the same rule for partying as well. Caffeine is a great stimulant. It has the potential to rouse the human brain and heart. So reach for that coffee, Red Bull or an energy drink. Research guarantees the effect lasts for a minimum of 4 hours.



Eat in Moderation 

Food may be tempting, but big helpings will slow down your alertness. Eat small bites of your delicious recipe. Also, those fries and cheese balls may beckon you, but stay clear of oily or fatty foods. Opt for grazing rather than gorging!


Stay Hydrated

This is a simple yet the most effective path of being a party animal. Drink lots of water throughout the evening, especially because alcohol is known to dehydrate the human body. Replenish your system by drinking water between drinks. H20 has the potential to keep you hydrated and fresh.


Stay on the Feet

Sitting in one posture for long invites lethargy, a real killer of the party mood! So get into the party mood and keep your toes tapping and hips swinging. Nothing drives away sleep than moving your body on a fun and loud number. 


Keep on the Move

The best way to enjoy a late night get-together is to keep shifting from one social group to another. This breaks the monotony and eliminates the probability of boredom. The moment you allow boredom to set in, energy levels will drop and so will your zeal to enjoy.
